Sofia is a proud, lifelong Rhode Islander, only leaving for a brief four-year period to study journalism and creative writing at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, M.D. Prior to joining OSM as a Newsletter and Social Media producer, Sofia worked as a reporter for The Valley Breeze Newspaper, where she reported on her hometown of Lincoln, and produced The Local Scoop, a food and entertainment newsletter. Sofia’s work has been recognized by the New England Newspaper & Press Association, as well as the Rhode Island Press Association.
Sofia is passionate about local news, food, and pop culture, and loves any opportunity to explore and learn more about her home state.
