Ocean State Media in Motion

Ocean State Media in Motion is our bold, community-centered initiative to meet you where you live, work, learn and gather. We’re bringing our trusted journalism and vibrant storytelling out of the studio and into your community — from neighborhood hubs and Main Streets to festival stages, town halls, schools and local events.

What is it?

Ocean State Media in Motion is built to meet communities in ways that feel welcoming, whether that’s a casual drop-in conversation or a larger, RSVP-based public event.

The model is flexible by design, allowing us to show up in different spaces, listen closely and create meaningful exchanges across generations. At its heart, Ocean State Media in Motion is about connection: bringing neighbors together, sparking thoughtful dialogue and gathering real insight that helps shape our reporting and strengthens the communities we serve.

At Ocean State Media, we’re leaning into connection and engagement. In Motion isn’t just a tour: It’s a shared experience rooted in listening, learning and reflecting the rhythms of life across the Ocean State and South Coast.

Our most recent stop: Little Compton! Check out our episode of The Bubblah below.

We’re working to better understand and connect with the communities we serve. Your perspective helps us listen more thoughtfully and show up in ways that matter. There are no right or wrong answers — share as much or as little as you’d like.
Ocean State Media in Motion is sponsored in part by the Hilb Group.
