Stand-up comedy from Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me’s Tom Papa
You’ve heard Tom Papa as a panelist and guest host on NPR’s “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me.” He’s released four Netflix comedy specials and hosted “The Marriage Ref.” He’s performing on September 11, which is the perfect day to see a comedy show because you may want to think about something other than historic tragedy. As he put it, “You're gonna feel better. You will literally feel better because you sat with other strangers and you laughed, and you've realized, "Oh, I'm not the only one getting annoyed by this. I'm not the only one who is pulling their hair out."

Trinity Rep started their 2026-27 season last week with “The Getaway Driver.” In 1970, Katherine Ann Power, then a young anti-war activist, drove the getaway car for a robbery she hoped would change the world. Instead, it ended in tragedy, and she disappeared, beginning the longest run of any woman on the FBI’s Most Wanted List. More than 20 years later, she becomes ready to tell the truth.
