Heide traded San Francisco fog for Montana mountains (and a journalism degree), then swapped Big Sky Country for the Ocean State in 2024. She’s worked everywhere from Montana Public Radio to the Missoulian, crafting stories for humans and algorithms alike. These days she’s embracing New England life—baking, attempting the NYT puzzles, and hitting the beach.

Allison Magnus is the Digital Media Manager for Ocean State Media. She runs all of the stations' social media accounts and YouTube channels, creating graphics, thumbnails, reels, and trending promotional content. Allison graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a dual Film and English degree. She has been writing, directing, editing, and producing all forms of media content from short films to social media videos for almost a decade now. Previously, Allison was a radio host and general manager for WRIU 90.3 FM. In her free time, you can find Allison traveling around the world documenting her explorations.

Sarah Trudeau started as the Community and Education Services intern in 2020 while pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Educational Studies and Psychology from Roger Williams University, and has since contributed to all educational initiatives at Ocean State Media. In her current role as Senior Community Engagement Specialist, she manages the team's community partnerships and learning initiatives and leads their communications efforts. Sarah is actively involved in facilitating lifelong learning opportunities, fostering community connections, and organizing events and resources to support ongoing education efforts. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and hiking throughout New England.

Renee Gilbert is an Education Specialist. Originally from New York, Renee has been dedicated to facilitating the exploration of young minds as an elementary school teacher for the past 6 years. A graduate of Brooklyn College with a degree in Early Childhood Education, she has dedicated her career to teaching and learning. With experience teaching Pre-K through 2nd grade in an integrated co-teaching setting, Renee has honed her skills in fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments. Currently, she works passionately at Ocean State Media to empower educators by leveraging the free resources available, ensuring every child has access to quality educational materials. Renee's favorite aspect of her job is engaging with children in the community, where she finds joy in inspiring curiosity and a love for learning beyond the classroom.
