Rhode Island’s vibrant culinary scene earned significant recognition Wednesday as the James Beard Foundation unveiled the 2026 semifinalists for its prestigious Restaurant and Chef Awards — often called the Oscars of the food world.
The announcement highlights outstanding chefs and restaurants from across the country and sets the stage for the next round: finalists, to be announced March 31. Winners will be celebrated at the awards gala in Chicago on June 15.
