The Rhode Island Community Investment Cooperative has launched a new community investment fund.

The initiative is designed to encourage the creation of small businesses and real-estate projects in neighborhoods that have been historically excluded from traditional forms of investment.

Luis Hernandez of The Public’s Radio spoke with Jessica David, the president and CEO of the Rhode Island Community Investment Cooperative. They discussed the fund and how it will work.
