Singer started a newspaper for his neighborhood when he was 10 years old and has been involved in journalism in some fashion ever since. He comes to Ocean State Media from GBH News, where he ran the investigations unit and then launched and managed a new Equity & Justice team. In previous jobs, he was the White House correspondent for the UPI wire service; the Cleveland correspondent for the Associated Press, and the politics editor for USA Today. He has also served as adjunct faculty at Georgetown University and Boston University. In his spare time, Singer does journalism and bangs on typewriters.
