Scot is CEO/Owner of Groov-Pin Corporation, a manufacturer of engineered fasteners and precision components in Smithfield, RI, and Newnan, GA. Groov-Pin has been recognized for excellence as a mid-sized manufacturer, for lean manufacturing and for its wellness programs. Prior to Groov-Pin, Scot was with GE as Manager of Marketing and Engineering for a unit of GE Medical Systems. He began his career building some of the first MRI scanners. Scot has a BSEE University of Maine, MASc. University of Toronto in Wave Sciences, and MBA University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Board roles include Ocean State Media (PBS & NPR) (Secretary, Co-Chair Development), Black Mountain of Maine, RI Commodores, and Historic Wickford. Until recently, Scot served on the board of QDC (Finance Chair), Crossroads RI (Executive), SE Greenhouse (Treasurer). He and wife Sue Jones live in Wickford, RI with their children. (Yup, 8 girls).
